Just Another Uppsala Morning

My grandmother dared to come
from Sweden. She's dead but still
talks. Articulately. She says she is now
housemates with Ingmar Bergman.
They've made a film of asteroids
that fall in love,
collide,
and break apart.

Bergman wants to call it Wild Strawberoids.
Grandma wants to call it Just Another Uppsala Morning.

A Terribly Hot Affair

In the Malmo depot I fall
in love with Dindi. She and I
have a terribly hot affair
without touching
or talking.
All the time we love,
maybe a minute or so,
I serenade her.

The train pulls out.
The night pulls out.
All this pulling out!

The depot stays put.
In my throat.
